Prabal Gurung
Spring 2013
September 12th, 2012

Here we are at Prabal’s spring summer show held at Pier 57. Lots of dust filled the air with spotlights to create a mood. We got there just in time to sit and watch the beauties stomp the runway. The music was having us Shazam every 5 seconds. Overall the show was beautiful, love how the pieces were innocent & white and then a dangerous slash of red would pop in.

Oh and we sat right behind Anna Dello Russo and next to Bill Cunnigham.

Rachel Zoe was there filming for the Zoe project.
Fashion director for Tatler Russia Anya Ziourova, Miroslava Duma from Buro 24/7 and casting director Natalie Joos in “The Clash Of The Prints” coming to the nearest theaters this fall!

Blogger- “Anna Dello Russo I love your clutch where did you get it?”
Anna- “Amore’ thank you it’s from my new collection with H&M, you can get it Oct 4th, I must go now to take a Fashion Shower .”

Michelle Harper always turns it out

Fashion friends Bryan Boy , Michelle Harper and Linda Fargo.

FNO 2012 And Other Debauchery
September 10th, 2012
There are only 3 days in a year when I really feel like digging deep into my closet and going all out: Gay Pride, Halloween and Fashion’s Night Out. Not very random choices, when you really think about it. All these days represent artists and creative minds, freedom of expression and the time when you can show what you are and be appreciated for it.
Our FNO started out with Jaime taking us to a loft presentation that he was invited to by his friends. Turns out that it was for “Taylor” dress. 5 years in the running brand that concentrates on affordable (under $200) classic dresses, designed by Cynthia Howie.
Jaime, Ally and Diandra posing it up with some bubbly. “Taylor” definitely got themselves a serious loft (we did consider moving in). Jaime- APC jeans, Y-3 limited edition boots. Diandra- Topshop dress and boots.
Should I mention that our crew caused quite a stir when we popped in to the party? I don’t think the classic crowd expected some Abudhabi action, but they definitely enjoyed it! Sky- Unconditional shirt, Abudhabi- tailored vintage blazer, Alice & Olivia pants, Adrienne Landau gloves, Monki manpurse and neck piece found at London’s fashion market.
This Sierra Leone beauty Mary Ann designed her own top. Yesss, she is blessed! Skirt and belt by Zara.
City Kitty met my titty on our way to the next destination. I know, SCANDALOUS! She is so adorable though, with the brightest, most beautiful eyes!
”I could just punch you right now bro!” Nahhhh, that’s not what she’s really saying.
Our friend Sam, the owner of one of my favorite stores “3NY “ had it really popping in there. He had the funnest, most diverse crowd that night. That’s where I was busted by this crew and asked the main question: “How would you describe your style?” Ummm. Risky… Because I can’t see sh$t and about to suffocate. I kid I kid, I wasn’t about to suffocate!
3.1 Phillip Lim patent leather collar?! Yes please!
After all this walking we got a little hungry and decided stop by “Catch“, to also celebrate Diandra‘s Birthday. To make herself feel even more special and royal, Dee decided to turn my neck collar into a crown and go Maleficent on us. Watch me steal this idea real soon!
On our way to the last stop of the night, Le Bain, we see Andy giving us head-to-toe Moods of Norway 2013-you-can’t-even-buy-it-yet realness! That’s my girl and that’s how you do FNO!
While Andy and I were shyly posing it up, Daniel jumped in the picture and showed us model 101, stealing the shot. I promise, I will never let my shine get stolen ever again!
No these are not harlots, these are noble cocottes desperate enough to flag down a gypsy cab and get home at any cost. Watery eyes, intoxicated bodies and shaky feet… Ahh Fashion’s night out, til we meet again!

This past weekend I caught up with my supermodel gfs Eyen & Garima, aka Pocahontas & Jasmine. I was playing with Eyen’s scarf and bam styled it as a big head bow. These two always have great downtown style. Eyen wears : Alexander McQueen skull scarf, Miss Sixty denim shirt, Ck one white tee, Levis acid wash shorts, and Michael Kors bag and sandals . Garima wears my leather cap, DKNY cashmere cardigan, topshop tank and shorts, H&M gold satchel, and sneaker heels by Monika Chiang.

Goldie
September 2nd, 2012

Meet my new bag, Goldie. Some of you may think Goldie is from The Cambridge Satchel Company, but he’s not, I picked him up at H&M. He’s pretty flashy and can spiff up my super casual look of sweats and a white tee. Goldie and I have also been spotted by the Drifting Nomad. Check out her blog for more NYC style pics.

I can even wear Goldie as a harness.

Goldie and my phone “007″ get along great. Shirt and shorts by Club Monaco, Boots Dr. Martens and phone case by incase. Photos by the lovely Lindsay.
Truth or Dare
VS Fame
August 25th, 2012
I love both Gaga and Madonna so my critic is purely based on my experience in Celebrity fragrance and their scents. Gaga’s debute fragrance “Fame” recently came out and with all the hype that she has garnered for it I expected a scent that would smell as unique as her. Rumors of the fragrance smelling like blood did keep me interested.
Fame: very feminine (guys can’t wear this), starts off sweet but airs out heavy, strong Jasmine and honey notes, it smells like walking into Sephora. Not special to me but the black liquid does spray clear and the Alien egg design is cool. Fame comes with no gift with purchase and is only available as a perfume and black soap. Sorry little monsters no lotion or shower gel.
The Fame campaign is very Gaga, its in your face and experimental, which is refreshing. Never has there been a celebrity fragrance where the star has her face masked and unrecognizable. I’m sure that fragrance powerhouse Coty, wasn’t so keen on that idea. Coty is all about having consumers recognize their celebrities, Gaga obviously had her way with that standard. Both Madonna and Gaga wear black masks in their fragrance ads… Madonna did it first, but both ladies wear it differently.
Truth or Dare: Starts off fresh and strong but gets heavier with time. Roses on top of dark powder, Tuberose is its main note and is very prominent. The scent is unique and I could definitely tell if someone is wearing it. Guys could wear this, but the scent is a bit polarizing: many people tell me its too strong, one spray will last you the whole day. I got to work on the inspiration for the bottle design, so I do favor this bottle over Fame. Religion meets Madonna in a vampire flask. Truth or Dare comes with two goodies, her dvd documentary “Truth or Dare” and a lovely unisex leather tote. You can also get a shower gift set. Check out the campaign commercials below and try them out yourself.
London Adventures: Day 2
August 12th, 2012
On my second day in London I was woken up by Diandra banging on the door.
-Get up, we are going to a Jamaican Festival!
Ja… What?! Hell yes! It didn’t take me long to figure out a booty popping outfit, so we were out of the door ASAP. We didn’t have much info, but supposedly Festival was taking place at the O2 arena.
After about an hour on the train we finally arrived to this fiercely colored station (it really matched my skin tone).
When we were trying to take our own pic in front of the dome, this nice cop lady came up to us and offered to take the pictures, come on, New York cops only know how to eat hot dogs… We noticed that people were climbing up the dome, but of course all the tix to do that were sold out.
Alexey- tank top is LASC, pants by Zara.
Diandra- trench by Rag & Bone, striped long sleeve shirt L’Agence, jeans J Brand, boots- Fiorentini + Baker. Daym what a label hoe!!! I can’t even compete!
After quite an unsuccessful attempt to get into the Jamaican Festival, we decided to check out Brick Lane and do a little damage shopping. The voices told me to do that!!!
Found the coolest shop called “Emin & Paul“, where Emin told us that everything in the store was designed by her, her husband and two of her cousins. Those kind of stores are my favorite- everything is hand made and exclusively designed by the owners. It was quite affordable as well. They had sick clothes, accessories, bags and leather work (clutches, harnesses, necklaces, belts). I did not get this ensemble, just modeled it for Emin and Diandra, but I did get this bag that you will definitely see in some upcoming posts
-B$tch, you HAVE to get this poncho! You look so klassy!
-Um no, maybe when I am older and more mature for this.
Young and Immature. AMEN
Another cool store that we ran into, that had all these crazy hats and clothes. Those designers really went all out. Those babies would fit perfectly into my Sunday Church hat collection.
I guess this is a normal sight for Brick Lane, these lovely ladies were just standing there and portraying horses. The look on the blonde ladies’ faces says it all. WHAT THE FU#K!!!
Chicks and Dirty Dicks. Mmmmm…. My favorite! The latter of course!
Our lovely evening ended with a lovely walk on Jack The Ripper’s territory. Story was quite fascinating. Apparently the hookers did not have Heather Graham looks. In fact, their skin was yellow, faces and bodies were bloated from heavy gin drinking, they had no teeth and were riddled with sexually transmitted diseases. That’s what made me and Gemma scream.
